Frequently Asked Questions

How much does Content.ly cost?

Content.ly subscriptions are $3 per user per month and are billed annually. If you are interested in getting a quote for our Enterprise-level license, please contact the Content.ly sales team.

Is there a minimum number of users?

Yes, we require a minimum of 50 users per organization.

And what do you mean by user?

By users, we mean individuals connected to cloud services through the Content.ly platform either by the owner or administrator of that account. We charge per person – not connection. So, for example, if you purchase 100 Content.ly licenses for an organization with 100 Box user accounts, and 50 of them also use OneDrive, you won't need to purchase the 50 additional licenses to connect to those OneDrive accounts.

What is a connection?

Connections are where everything begins. Essentially, a connection is how you link your cloud services to Content.ly.  These connections can be individual user accounts, or your company’s entire cloud tenancy.  They’re the first step to experiencing our back-up, restore, and migrate functionality.

How do I purchase Content.ly?

We have two options. (1) You can purchase Content.ly online or (2) you can request a quote from our sales team. Just to keep in mind, we do require a minimum of 50 users per organization. If you would rather speak to a member of our sales team, you can contact them here.

Can I access a free trial?

Absolutely!  We offer a 30 day, all-inclusive trial with no strings attached.

What happens to my data if I cancel or my trial expires?

You will still be able to access your account, but functionality will be limited. When the trial expires, you can regain full access to Content.ly’s features once you become a paid customer. Note, on request, we can securely delete your account and its associated storage.

How can I request a demo?

Just reach out and contact us to schedule a demo. We love to share what we’ve built!

Are there storage limits?

If you find that you need additional storage, just reach out and let us know. We can help make that happen.

And where is my storage hosted?

We offer options in several Microsoft Azure regions for your Content.ly storage needs.

Are my backups and storage encrypted?

Absolutely.  Data is stored in Azure with Storage Service Encryption for data at rest, using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard block ciphers – one of the strongest available. We use encrypted protocols for data in transit. You can also back up to other cloud services you’ve connected to in Content.ly.

I have a lot data to migrate. Do you charge extra for bandwidth?

No, we prefer to keep things simple.

How long has Content.ly been around?

Content.ly is a project of Metalogix Software, an information technology leader with over 15 years of history and more than 20,000 customers worldwide.

How do I get Content.ly up and running for my organization?

Very quickly (and easily). Most users can be up and running on Content.ly within minutes.

How do I get access to the newest Content.ly features and services?

Content.ly is a SaaS based product which allows you to have access to all of the newest features and functionality as soon as we release them.

If you’re interested in accessing our exclusive features before they are publicly available, we welcome you into our Content.ly Insider program. Content.ly Insiders get early access and have the opportunity to share feedback with our product experts that will directly influence our product roadmap. If you would like to participate in our select group and help shape a product that makes your life easier, contact us.

What is your cancellation policy?

We’d hate to see you go! But if you’re ready to leave (and are a paying customer), please contact support. Licenses are governed by Content.ly’s Terms of Service.
